Our protocol article for our cohort study has been published! In this article, we detail all aspects of the project, including the measures we have selected and the planned progression of the cohort.
While incorporating innovative elements, such as the inclusion of self-reported and clinical data, as well as a participatory approach, PARLONS-MAAT will be the largest Canadian longitudinal study to follow trans and gender-diverse youth receiving pediatric gender-affirming medical care. These youth will also be followed into adulthood to examine the medium- and long-term effects of care received in childhood and adolescence.
